With an incredible coastline, a long heritage of the fishing industry, and an impressive culinary scene, there is simply so much choice when it comes to fish and seafood in Portugal.
My guests often ask me what do I most miss from Portugal. One of my answers is always the local Portuguese fish and seafood markets, with their wide variety of fresh fish available daily. Every Portuguese coastal fishing city or town in Portugal has a fish market and that’s where everyone buys their fish. It becomes a ritual going to the market a couple of days a week.
From the markets from Olhāo in the Algarve to Matosinhos next to Porto, passing by Setubal and Peniche you will find some of the best fish and Seafood in the world.

Citrus yellow colour. Aroma of grapefruit and mineral notes. In the mouth it reveals structure, but it surprises with high freshness and acidity. Long and persistent aftertaste.

Well balanced wine, full of citrus notes of grapefruit and lemon, delicate floral notes. At the same time light and intense, full of freshness and flavour. Alvarinho conveys structure and body, Loureiro aromatic intensity and Avesso acidity and minerality.

Pale ruby color. Strong aromas of ripen red fruits wrapped in delicate aromas of cedar. In the palate is dry, with a stressed and refreshing acidity. It ends long, silky and very mineral.

A rustic wine with an intense deep purple colour and delicious flavours of forest fruits and earthy nuances. the multi-layered bouquet is dominated by forest fruits and earthy nuances. Served chilled.
